Learn about the country home of Nicholas Biddle, President of the Second Bank of the United States, surrounded by spectacular grounds with architectural delights and native woodlands. Placed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks in 1966, the Big House continues to provide an unparalleled look into our nation's past, while at the same time allowing visitors a glimpse into the lives of a family that helped shape its future. Big House tours have limited capacity. All guests are required to wear masks inside the Big House.
Big House tours are offered three times a day each Open Saturday and have limited capacity. Tours start promptly at their scheduled times, so please arrive a few minutes early.
Guided house tours also include self-guided access to the gardens. Visitors can bring a picnic lunch to enjoy along the river's edge. Please note that we have a "carry-in, carry-out" policy.
